Taryn Vecchio

I am Dr. Gina Midyett's Assistant/Office Manager and enjoys working for Life Focus Group. I have had a plethora of various jobs since I was in the military and I feel like my military training rolls over into my structure, ideas, and researching how to make things better. I have a strong work ethic and enjoy getting to know our patients as they come in. I am a native Floridian (who has never seen snow) and loves taking photos of sunsets or candid moments of couples or children on the beach. Living in the moment is most important to me; whether it's curling up with a good book, laying under the trees at Philippe Park on a nice day and just listening to the leaves rustle, walking the beach and taking photos, or just spending quality time with my daughter or grandmother, and even the occasional spending time with my friends (when our schedules finally don't conflict).Life is all about how you take in those moments and treasure them.

Shauna Kelly

Masters Level Clinical Intern with The Chicago School of Professional Psychology under direct supervision of Dr. Gina Midyett.

About Me: I have always had a drive to be in a helping profession. Over the last 7 years I have worked in the social service industry which has only reaffirmed this desire. Within those years, I have gained experience working with individuals struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, substance misuse, mental illness, domestic violence and a multitude of other concerns. I have supported individuals of ages ranging from adolescence into adulthood including family systems and couples. My emerging methodology encompasses a strengths based, client centered, and solution focused approach. I utilize evidence based practices such as motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, and more.

I strongly follow a holistic ideology which is rooted in Yoga Philosophy to support overall health & well-being. My goal is for all individuals to gain an awareness, a presence, and radical self-acceptance within their being to live an authentic and joyful life.
